IS THIS THE LINE TO ADOPT FROM TAIWAN???????
Just a short catch up about us. We are still busy this summer. We love the pool and going to the park. We have to go in the ams as the swings get blistering hot in this West Texas sun. Hannah has risen to the occasion of babysitting while I work 1/2 days at the clinic. She loves having her own money and feels like she is a productive member of the household. She loves to tell me what she is going to buy with HER money. She will also ask if we need to borrow money...too cute.
I believe we will start swimming lessons for Claire. She loves the water so much, it makes me nervous to not have any professional training under her belt. I guess I will have to swim with her as she still doesn't want me too far away. I figured she has been in the orphange about 600 days. We have had her roughly 270...I can't wait until we have had her one day more...somehow my small mind believes that it will all be better after then. She will truly feel as if she belongs to this family. Her speach is growing everyday. She loves to repeat everything we say. That becomes annoying after awhile, but I have to remind myself that she is learning this way. I love to watch her learn and see the lightbulb go on over her head....she is so proud of herself.
Hope to have more to say about the Taiwan adoption after our social worker returns from his much needed vacation and we submit the revisions.

You know it seems like a milestone when you can say "we've been a family longer than she was in an orphanage". There's a sense of relief. I don't know why... It felt as if we were finally a family..

Yes... that is the line for Taiwan (or so it seems these days) I say start butting:)
I really do believe that something happens after your kiddo has been with you longer then in foster care/ orphanage, etc... I have noticed a change in our little guy & next month will mark the "I've been an American as long as I've been a Taiwanese" Everyday he just gives a little more love:)
I just found your blog this morning and I have to say that line of ducks (I thinks that what they are!) and the 'is this the line to adopt from Taiwan' just cracked me up!
