My sister and her family came in for Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time cooking and SHOPPING. I had never gone out on black friday. Now I have all the gifts I need and they have been wrapped and sent back with sis....I smell a new tradition coming on. My brother and his family will be here for Christmas so the mailing industry just lost a ton of money from me. Yes we had a fabulous time and can't wait to see her ( and the wonderful kids at New Year) I so wish we lived closer so we could see each other all the time. I am working on that, believe me. The following pictures are our attempt to herd cats (much like the red couch photos in China). Next post will be about our trip to New Mexico to reunite with one of our Anhui sisters...WE CAN HARDLY WAIT!!! The only down side is we will sorely miss Claire and Kacey.
Take one.
Take two
Take three,you get the gist
Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon

How wonderful you and Diane get to meet up! I'm jealous of course, but do enjoy! Hugs and kisses to all of you!!

Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. I feel your pain with the group shot. I have decided the "getting there or trying to make them work" shots are actually the most fun.
I have never done the "black" Friday thing. Too lazy to get up at oooo-dark hundred and fight the crowds. Goood for you.
Love the family shot of all the kids. They look like they had so much fun.
