Loving the opening presents part.
This is the yr that our family will be complete. But until then....boy did we party. We had a wonderful Christmas. Santa was a huge hit. Claire really got what was happening.....Jesus and his birthday was a stumbling block to her. She wanted HIM to be here for his birthday party. She was so sweet with everyone about her presents. Everything was "just what I wanted". Hannah had a few suprises herself. She had been told that the boots she wanted were sold out...she totally believed it. TEE HEE
We then spent a few days with my sister and her wonderful family. It has become a tradition to go for New Years and shop and get one last holiday in before it is all over. She never fails to be a great hostess and her children are all stair-stepped in with mine so I hardly see my girls. They play such wonderful games with each other. They also learn how to work out problems without too much blood shed.
We continue to wait for our boy to come home. He remains in our prayers daily. Why must it take so long???? He needs to be with his family and his family needs to be with him. I am super anxious to see this wonderful plan that God has for me and my family. I must work on being more trusting in his word and knowing that LONGS for me to be happy. I must remember that he loves me like I love my children and would not want me to be worried or anxious about anything. He is constant and never waivering. So until the time comes I will continue to look at the moon and know that Kevin sees the same moon and has the same loving God watching over him

It's so hard to understand why God would allow our other ones to wait so long. And in all reality we may not ever understand on this side of eternity.
However, the comfort is that this wait is harder for YOU than for Kevin...and of course it is an awesome feeling to know we are all suffering with you!
Let's pray for LOA's in January!!!!
Oh, Shelley, I know how hard the wait is for your sweet Kevin! We never anticipated waiting this long to bring our Maia home either, and some days the waiting is excruciating. My only saving grace is that I know that, when I look back over my life, God's timing has always been perfect. At the time, I didn't understand, but hindsight is often 20/20! It surely doesn't seem fair that our children are spending any part of their childhood in an orphanage, but God can and will redeem all things for the good one day. Until then, I'll probably go finish off another bag of hershey's kisses.....right after I get off the eliptical machine, that is:) I'm so glad we've met in the bloggy world.....it's always easier to walk this road with a few companions!
It's me again! I'm so glad you're not really counting along with me:)
I did NOT believe it! Tee hee. Glad we had such a great holiday!
I hope you get him home soon - what a great blog. I am praying for your family.
