I have days that I REALLY miss China. Celebrating the Moon Festival has really had me missing the people and wonderful culture. This too shall pass, but I do love looking at the wondererful buildings.
They put these eyes on their heads and left them all evening. I really felt like someone was watching me. They think they looked much better on them than on any art project they could make with them. They crack me up.
Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon

Lily said " Oh, that's so lovely." This was said with sarcasm in her voice. She thinks the eyes are funny.

I needed a good laugh and you just gave it to me. They are tooo cute! I love that she has three and he only has one.
Holy eyeballs!!!!
Wearing eyeballs on your forehead is always waaay more fun than anything else:) Wish I had a pair, too!
Love the eyeballs. And I am missing China, too. Never a day goes by that I don't think about the rows and rows of children I used to interact with on a daily basis.I didn't know how lucky I was until now--when it is all gone.
Just passing through and the eyeballs stopped me...
I hope you remember me :0)
I'm also hoping you can help me out with something. We need to find a dentist for KayLi in Lubbock. Someone who is knowledgeable about cleft issues. I have a few names from the dentist in Dallas but I would love to talk to someone who has been to one of them. If you could e-mail me (my address is on the side bar of my blog) I would really appreciate it!
I totally understand how much you miss China. I would go back tomorrow in a heartbeat!
Love those crazy eyeballs!
Blessings,
Lisa

My daughter and I went through some pretty serious "we miss China" days ourselves.
