My hair has looked like this for so many days...it hurts
The stomach bug has captured our whole family. We couldn't make it to the door now if we tried. The only good thing I can say....glad it didn't hit 2 wks from now.

Throwing stones in the lake
Finding treasures

While I was getting paperwork together for our upcoming trip to China, I discovered that our home study expires at the end of Feb. Can you even imagine the panic? We are expecting our travel approval in 2-3 wks. I was generally going over the edge.
Spoke with our social worker last night and he will come for an update tonight and then we should have everything taken care of in "about a week". Wow, what a way to start a week. I had a major meltdown and began to cry inconsolably...I just knew this would delay an already overdue trip to get our boy. I am now emerging from the depths of despair and allowing God to take control. I can't seem to let go of control in a timely manner....hmmmm I should really work on that.
Thanks to all who lent a shoulder for me to cry on. It was greatly appreciated.
Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon
