For today

Psalms 118:8

Please let me live that. Day 106

Dec 20, 2008

Hope yours is as happy as ours.

By the way....today is day 100. Please hide all sharp objects and choclate....

She is four.....hear her roar.

We went to the big Cheese house (Chuck as we know him) and had a small party for our princess. We (as planned) were the first customers of the day. A little secret....they test all games before they open....they do this everyday so they can be pretty good at the games....they don't pick up the tickets. So birthday girl got extra tickets to buy the quality merchandise they have there. She was showered with gifts and compliments by her best friends. She wanted us to call her Princess Doctor Claire. She received her first doctor kit and we all checked out ok. She is so happy to be four, those fingers are easier to show than 3.

She grows more loving and gracious everyday. She continues to be delighted by the simplest of things. She is so precious to us and are so thankful everyday that we were given the priviledge of being her family. Happy Birthday Princess Doctor Claire. We love you very much!!!

Another stumbling block

A family traveling in China sent a new picture....isn't he perfect??

If you have been following in the adoption world you know that the fees have been increased. Since this increase is so close to us getting our letter of acceptance, it has kind of taken us off guard.

After much pacing the floor and going to the computer about 5 times and turning around, I have added a chip in button. If our family and friends needed some assistance I would be saddened if they wouldn't ask us for help. So we are giving them an opportunity to help us bring Kevin home.

We are extremely grateful to all of YOU who have prayed with us, cried with us and rejoiced with us over our precious boy. Thank you so much for continuing to do that with us and for us. Our souls are weary from waiting, but truly believe that everything will happen in God's perfect timing.

Hurry up LOA my baby boy needs to come home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Day 85

This girl.....

My younger sister...she would want me to tell you that...is such a precious soul to me. She has been by myside through all the ups and downs and still finds joy in the everyday miracles. We went on our annual shopping after Thanksgiving. We don't really become crazy like some of those shoppers (you know who you are), we do have a "gameplan" simply because I am extremely lazy and want to get as much in one place, instead of driving around alot. She is such a good planner. She makes sure we have our ads, prices, coffee, and good shoes ready to go for a 5am shopping time. We had many electronics to buy this year. SO DID EVERYONE ELSE in the world this morning.

The reas on I love this girl so much is....we can plan for hours on Thanksgiving, get up in freezing weather, and see a line that wraps around the building and say...FORGET THIS. We went across town and paid twenty-five dollars more than the other place, but we got out alive. Awww, such great memory making.

By the way.....I am pretty much DONE with the shopping and it isn't even December 1.

Happy Thanksgiving

May your day be blessed. Please remember those in the military that can't be home for the holidays.

66 days....

We have been waiting 66 days for our LOA. I am hoping we only have 14 more to wait. I have great faith in my God and I have been praying for our boy to come home before Chinese New Year. Anyone who wants to join me in that endeavor is welcome. A small dose of cuteness to help you with the praying.

Halloween 2008.

She carved this herself.

Hobo Hannah

Princess Claire

Our 3 pumpkins for our 3 pumpkins.

Ready for the loot gathering.

Tired after an exhausting evening of hauling candy.
Claire really got the hang of the trick treating this yr. She joyfully ran to each door and anxiously awaited whatever treat they would place in her pumpkin. She would then run back to us and exclaim...."they gave me candy too!!" It was always such a sweet surprise. Hannah was a great big sister and acted as if it was HER first time to understand too. Then they got to indulge in trying to acheive a choclate coma. We really missed Kevin. We had fun trying to think what he might like to dress up as next yr.

TAG......I'm it.

My sweet friend Amy (http://thechunster.blogspot.com/) tagged me. Seven random things about me.

1. I have been a nurse longer than I have not. I graduated when I was 22 and now I am 44. I still learn things everyday.

2. I have a phobia about bald white men. I awakened from surgery one time with a bald male nurse RIGHT IN MY FACE...I think that scared me for life.

3. I enjoy a Disney movie over all else. When will I ever enjoy a grown up movie??

4. I am addicted to PEOPLE magazine. When Fri. comes and the new one comes in the mail...I must not be disturbed until it is read cover to cover. Good thing Duane is off on Fri. evenings.

5.I won't ever have any other kind of dog except a dachshund. I love their long bodies and short legs.

6. I have never been snow skiing...where are the brakes on those things????

7. I REALLY wish my children would stay young forever. I don't think I will know how to parent teens...

We are 1/2 through our wait for our LOA...I hope the next 45 days REALLY flashes by. Hopefully with the holidays it will.

Do you....

Know that there are nights I can't sleep from missing you?

Know that I look at the moon everynight and blow a kiss to you?

Know that I love you more and more with every passing moment?

Know that I can't wait to go to the boys section in the clothing store?

Know that I have already bought you so many more things than you could ever wear?

Know that your sisters hurt to have you home everyday?

Know that your father has already started gathering tools for you?

Know how BADLY we want you home.....NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

DTC BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon
