Happy Memorial Day to our beloved Soldiers

I love veterans...they, and their families have sacrificed so much. I have a precious nephew in the Air Force. I think of him everyday and the job he chose. He is so brave and loves our country.

Thank You soldiers all around the world. We are so proud of you!!!!

Please take a moment to hug a soldier

MONKEY LOVE

Yesterday Hannah's classs went to the amusement park for their last hoorah!! She came home...remember she is just 10 yrs old...with a monkey that a boy had bought for her!!!!!!!!! This is a boy who comes from a good family and Hannah has kind of "chased" him for the whole yr. So now he pops up with presents 2 days before school lets out. She informed my friend that "my crush got this for me" Oh dear G-d, does it really start this early???? I need some help from all you mothers of teens or tweens, give me comfort that she won't be REALLY interested in boys for about 6 more yrs. My heart hurts....

Requesting lurkers

Here are a couple of pictures of lurkers to give you inspiration.

I have made a vow to be a better commenter on other peoples' blogs. So now I am asking for lurkers here to step forward and let me know about you. I know this may make some of you nervous or cranky and want to step away from the blog...but just this once let me know who you are and I won't ask again. I love to read other blogs and if you leave your blog I can have more blogs to read.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY EVEN IF YOU DON'T LEAVE A COMMENT.

Really???

This guy gets the BIGGEST laughs from Claire. She is a happy child and loves to laugh, but this guy really busts her up. If any of you aren't familiar with the red one. He has a sidekick (so to speak) whose name is Mr. Noodle. He is not a puppet, he is human but doesn't speak. He does physical comedy....I am sure you get the idea. Claire doesn't like Elmo stuffed animals or dolls but she likes him safely on the screen. Go figure.

One of my favorite photos of Gotcha Day

This is the first time Hannah held Claire and she picked out the book herself to read. Just for the record it was a "touch" book with different textures on the pages. Claire seemed to calm right down and listen to Hannah's sweet voice.

The happiest of Mother's Day to you all...

Some of us are old hats at this mother thing...but that doesn't mean it ever gets old. Some of you out there are first time celebraters with your little ones. This day is for us and all our hard work and unconditional love. I am sure that we all have become great moms because of OUR moms. So here is a picture of my mom...the greatest in the world.

Happy Mother's day to my mom, mother-in-law, traveling buddies, and all our waiting mommies.

Working in the garden.

My girls love to be outside. I am not so much an outside person....especially if it is HOT..it is really beginning to get hot here. I try not to be a wimp about the heat, but mercy I can't hardly take it. Our traveling buddies from China remember how much we suffered in the heat. I am very thankful that my girls can take the heat since they love it so much.

Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon
