My younger sister...she would want me to tell you that...is such a precious soul to me. She has been by myside through all the ups and downs and still finds joy in the everyday miracles. We went on our annual shopping after Thanksgiving. We don't really become crazy like some of those shoppers (you know who you are), we do have a "gameplan" simply because I am extremely lazy and want to get as much in one place, instead of driving around alot. She is such a good planner. She makes sure we have our ads, prices, coffee, and good shoes ready to go for a 5am shopping time. We had many electronics to buy this year. SO DID EVERYONE ELSE in the world this morning.
The reas on I love this girl so much is....we can plan for hours on Thanksgiving, get up in freezing weather, and see a line that wraps around the building and say...FORGET THIS. We went across town and paid twenty-five dollars more than the other place, but we got out alive. Awww, such great memory making.
By the way.....I am pretty much DONE with the shopping and it isn't even December 1.
May your day be blessed. Please remember those in the military that can't be home for the holidays.
We have been waiting 66 days for our LOA. I am hoping we only have 14 more to wait. I have great faith in my God and I have been praying for our boy to come home before Chinese New Year. Anyone who wants to join me in that endeavor is welcome. A small dose of cuteness to help you with the praying.
She carved this herself.

Our 3 pumpkins for our 3 pumpkins.
Ready for the loot gathering.
Tired after an exhausting evening of hauling candy.
Claire really got the hang of the trick treating this yr. She joyfully ran to each door and anxiously awaited whatever treat they would place in her pumpkin. She would then run back to us and exclaim...."they gave me candy too!!" It was always such a sweet surprise. Hannah was a great big sister and acted as if it was HER first time to understand too. Then they got to indulge in trying to acheive a choclate coma. We really missed Kevin. We had fun trying to think what he might like to dress up as next yr.
GO TEXAS TECH....biggest game in history....wish us luck.
Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon
