Birthday and gingerbread

Our sweet Claire turned 5 yrs old on Sun.  Where did the time go?  She is growing up so fast.  She has become a great big sister.  She and Kevin are inseperable now.  We have been busy with the holiday preparations.  We did manage to get a gingerbread house made.  Kevin just liked the icing part.  It was really fun to squeeze the icing EVERYWHERE.  It is really fun to enjoy the holidays through Claire's eyes.  She really understands the WHOLE deal and is really loving it.  Kevin is going along for the ride.  He likes that everyone is having a good time and he is getting treats more often.  Hannah is showing great patience with the small ones this holiday.  She has been excited for them with everything and even helped with the house.  Such a great big sister.  We are going to the movies on Christmas day...just see New Moon.  She will be floating the rest of the day.

She told everyone she saw she was 5

LOVED the singing part

Getting ready to blow

She calls this her "pretend teeth"

With our MAMMOTH tree at the college

So proud of the house

I agree that the best part is the icing! I wanted to make gingerbread houses this year, too, and somehow the time just got away from me. So glad to hear that Claire and Kevin have become buddies! Love the pictures!

happy birthday big girl!
and Kevin is right, the icing IS the best part!
wishing your family health happiness and joy!

Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon
