Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Today we all went to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. It was perfect weather and we went with friends that are about my girls' ages. Claire still remains rather shy and curious more than adventureous and engaging. She would look at the pumpkins but not touch one. It was good to see Hannah having such a good time. She rode the cow train with her little sister and then we all went on a hay ride. Claire enjoyed the cow train I think because Hannah was there. We are eager to see the cousins and my sister this weekend. That will mean more alone time for Hannah and we have been needing that lately. She told my mother's friends that "it is hard to have a little sister". Maybe the bloom is falling off the rose of having a sister. She loves her and is very protective of her, but now that Claire is becoming more at home in the house, Hannah has to protect her things more closely. Enjoy the pics.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mary "feels" Hannah's pain of having a little sister. Claire Ling hit our home like she was shot out of a cannon. Not too many shy moments here. Many a time, Mary runs screaming for her room "nooooooooooooo Claire Ling", and slams the door before Lingerloo can get through the door. Mary has also had to "shelf" her "pony tea parties" until her little sister is asleep.

I Love Hannah's pose in the pumpkin patch....too cute!

Hi Shelley, great blog. Everyone looks happy. Tell Hannah that Doug & Katie have also discovered little sisters can be a pain!

Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon
