Paperwork and Thai food

Julie and Diane, we went to Cow and Bridge today. How in the world did we not make it there last adoption????? Really good food. I was not as adventurous as Duane but still stepped a bit out of my comfort zone. Duane didn't see the 2 chili peppers by his order.....suffered somewhat but did make it through the meal
We did the infamous paperwork session today for our visas. Took picutres....no surprise Kevin didn't smile. He gives the best cheesy grins after the flash has gone off. He is opening up to me more everyday. He is very curious when I am not in sight but when I ask to hold him I get a big NO. We have learned that if Duane kisses and hugs me, Kevin doesn't like the competition and runs to me with his sweet lips out for a kiss and hug. We will get there I know.

We will begin our shopping tomorrow. It is everything I remember. Our guide here is really wonderful...how appropriate that her name is Grace. I was needing some of that right about now. I am still battleing bad congestion and some coughing. I have started antibiotics to keep my chest clear, please continue to lift us up in prayer.

I love watching families meld together. To see parents learn what their child needs and to see children letting their parents fill their needs. We still have problems with control issues, but we all understand it is ALL they have now.

Oh Shelley, he will come around...remember Brie with Steven? Ugh, she hated him...at the very least Kevin is tolerating you. Soak in the kisses he does give and look forward to the oodles of kisses you're in for once you get home. I bet seeing you with Hannah and Claire will promote his attachment to you very firmly. After Brie saw Steven with Adyson for a while, she wanted some good Daddy hugs and kisses too. Soon, I know it's hard.
We also had many, many conrol issues...I think it's part and parcel to the chaos that is going on in their heads during this insane transition...and that too shall pass.
Thinking of you here in New York, and he is GORGEOUS!!!

I think we went to C&B twice where were you guys? You are on the home stretch now. Not much longer for Hannah & Claire to wait:):)

Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon
