A boy and his scooter

Our beautiful boy

Never gets tired of riding

Even likes watching Elmo on it.
Both Claire and Hannah have scooters. It had to be done, we found a Spiderman one at Wal Mart. From the second it was put together he has wanted to be on it. He is so proud of the new scooter. It hurts my soul to see how proud he is of new things. If we buy a new pair of shoes, he will walk around in them for hrs and continue to say (in his own way of course, only understood by his family) "Kevin's scooter", almost as if he is continually assuring us or himself that it is really his. I wish for him to know that there will always be things JUST FOR HIM and there will always be love JUST FOR HIM. He always rushes to give kisses and hugs when his sisters do. You can tell he is sometimes fearful that we won't kiss or hug him. We continue to pray that the Lord will ease his spirit and allow him to integrate into our family as God intended. He is mostly a happy and playful child. He is learning new words everyday. He loves to "practice" talking and repeating most words we say. He now puts two words together....YEA!! He continues to be such a blessing to our family.

I could so relate to your post about how Kevin reacts to the things you buy for him. SuSu is exactly the same way. She reassures us and herself over and over again that what she has is REALLY hers, and she always runs over to get hugs and kisses, too, if she sees Peanut getting them. I wonder how long it will be until she knows for certain that there will always be enough love to go around?

Every call has a beginning. A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart . A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him. A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns… Casting its first light on a chosen threshold. A gentle knock..a closed door opens, a sacred invitation sent by the Father.. leads to the other side of the world. Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows praying for someone to care.. and then one morning, on an ordinary day an orphan’s life changes... God sends them a second chance...Through you..

We are a family now, a whole,of which you are a part, and you are just as much our child as any in our heart. We do not love you differently, nor would we give up less of all that life has given us to bring you happiness. There is no limit to our love,no boundary you might cross,no price you may be asked to pay,no need to fear its loss. We are now one, the five of us,windows of one home. As long as we have life and breath,You’ll never be alone.~Nicholas Gordon
